PausAR Viewer

PausAR Viewer is a WordPress plugin for 3D product visualization and Web AR, designed for the Elementor Page Builder. It serves an interactive 3D viewer on every browser and switches automatically into Apple Quick Look on iOS and Google Scene Viewer on Android for true-to-scale AR placement. Files are uploaded as GLB and USDZ, no JavaScript or per-product HTML required. PausAR Viewer is the central product in the PausAR Studio ecosystem from Paus Design & Medien (Bocholt, Germany).

PausAR Viewer takes a pragmatic line on Web AR for WordPress sites. Rather than building custom WebXR experiences (which require per-project JavaScript development and do not run on iOS Safari), it delivers AR through the two paths already built into every modern smartphone: Apple Quick Look on iOS and Google Scene Viewer on Android, with an interactive in-browser 3D viewer everywhere else. The full setup happens inside Elementor: drag the widget into a page, upload a GLB and a USDZ, and the plugin handles device detection, the AR launch, styling, hotspots and fullscreen.

Under the hood the renderer is Google’s model-viewer web component, with Three.js doing the actual drawing. That foundation is what keeps it forward-compatible: a model uploaded today also works on the Apple Vision Pro and Samsung Galaxy XR, since those devices render the same web 3D primitives in their browsers.

PausAR Viewer is positioned as the no-code entry point into Web AR for WordPress sites. It is used in production across industries: industrial portfolios at Whipps, BENNING’s 75-year anniversary campaign, art prints at ALLAB, carpets at Hemsing, photogrammetry-based heritage reconstructions at Drone e-motion and Steinzeitpark Dithmarschen, and XR-product visualizations at Sensoryx. The full list and the underlying product are on the PausAR Viewer product page.

FAQ

Is PausAR Viewer free?

Yes, the core version is free on wordpress.org. A paid Pro tier adds extra features such as hotspots, advanced styling and analytics. Both versions handle the no-code 3D and Web AR setup.

Which file formats does PausAR Viewer support?

GLB and USDZ. GLB is used for the web viewer and for Android Scene Viewer; USDZ is used for iOS Augmented Reality through Apple Quick Look. Both files are uploaded into the same Elementor widget.

Does PausAR Viewer require coding?

No. The Elementor widget handles the setup, the AR launch, the device branching and the rendering. The actual work sits in preparing clean 3D models; the WordPress side is drag-and-drop.
